P.O. Fanger’s research scholarship to PhD student Tobias Gybel Hovgaard

PhD student Tobias Gybel Hovgaard, DTU Compute, receives P. O. Fanger's research scholarship of DKK 25,000 for his smart grid research at the annual Danvak meeting on 10 April 2013.

Tobias Gybel Hovgaard is a very active energy researcher who has contributed extraordinarily to the smart grid research in Denmark. His research in the development and implementation of new technologies to reconvert the Danish society’s energy system to a power-based fossil-free system is remarkable.

 

Danish smart grid research network
As the co-founder and organizer of the Danish smart grid research network, Tobias Gybel Hovgaard has created a forum for knowledge sharing and networking of smart grid components and their implementation.

 

Power management for energy systems
Tobias Gybel Hovgaard will defend his PhD thesis “Power Management for Energy Systems” on 8 May 2013. Tobias’ supervisor is Associate Professor John Bagterp Jørgensen.

 

During his project, Tobias Gybel Hovgaard has cooperated with Stanford University, Danfoss, Vestas and IPU.
